Red wines

Quinta da Boa Esperança – Colheita Tinto

Intense garnet colored wine, with a dominant aroma of red fruits, well balanced, with notes of black berries and spices. Good structure and intensity, with a pleasant longlasting finish.

Grapes: Castelão (33.3%), Syrah (33.3%), Aragonez (33.3%) Harvest: 100% manual into 15 Kg cases.
Vinification: Totally destemmed, followed by pre-fermentation maceration at 8°C for 48 hours. Fermented under a controlled temperature of 24°C.
Analytical data: Alcohol:13,5%;
Total acidity: 5,75 e pH: 3,66.

Quinta da Boa Esperança – Colheita Selecionada

Elaborated from Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Castelão, Syrah and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, it resulted in a complex wine with intense garnet colour, in which stand out the aromas of black fruit with spicy and balsamic notes, which came from this especific blend of varieties and their ageing on french oak barrels. Fresh and intense, with firm tannins, allowing a longstanding finish.

Grapes:Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Castelão,Touriga Nacional, Syrah.
Harvest: 100% manual into 15 Kg cases.
Vinification: Totally destemmed, followed by pre-fermentation maceration at 8°C for 48 hours. Fermented under a controlled temperature of 24°C.

Quinta da Boa Esperança – Syrah

Intense garnet colored wine, in which stand out the aromas of black fruit and spices, typical of this grape variety. Fresh and intense, with firm tannins, allowing a long standing finish.

Vinification: Totally destemmed, followed by pre-fermentation maceration at 8°C for 48 hours. Fermented under a controlled temperature of 24°C.

Quinta da Boa Esperança – Touriga Nacional

Very intense garnet colored wine, with citric and floral nuances. Very vivid and structured on the palate, through its freshness and richness in tannins, resulting in a long and harmonious finish.

Grapes: Touriga Nacional (100%). Harvest: 100% manual into 15 Kg cases.
Vinification: Totally destemmed, followed by pre-fermentation maceration at 8°C for 48 hours. Fermented under a controlled temperature of 24°C.
Analytical data: Alcohol:14%; Total acidity: 5,54; pH: 3,56.

Quinta da Boa Esperança – Alicante Bouschet

Intense garnet colored wine, nearly opaque, with prevaling notes of black fruit with balsamic nuances. Vibrant and volumous.

Grapes: Alicante Bouschet (100%). Harvest: 100% manual into 15 Kg cases.
Vinification: Totally destemmed, followed by pre-fermentation maceration at 8°C for 48 hours. Fermented under a controlled temperature of 24°C.
Analytical data: Alcohol:14,5%; Total acidity: 6,04; pH: 3,51.

Quinta da Boa Esperança – Reserva Tinto

Complex wine with garnet color, with intense black fruits flavour take place with hints of smokies aromas tipic from this blend of Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet and it’s aging for 24 months in French Oak Barrels. Fresh, intense and structured in the month, with strong tannins and long finish.

Harvested by hand to 15 Kg cases.

After pre-fermentative maceration for 24-48ºC takes place the fermentation in a mechanical lagar with temperature control of 24ºC. During 24 months the wine aged in new French Oak barrels of 225L and 500L followed by 18 month aging in bottle.

Grapes: Alicante Bouschet, Syrah and Touriga Nacional.

White wines

Quinta da Boa Esperança – Colheita Branco

Citrus colored wine, mineral, with intense aroma of fresh tropical fruit. Intense, fruity and fresh, with a very pleasant and persistent finish.

Grapes: Fernão Pires (60%), Arinto (40%).
Harvest: 100% manual into 15 Kg cases.
Vinification: Totally destemmed, fermented in inox tanks, under a controlled temperature of 12 degrees.
Analytical data: Alcohol:13,5%. Total acidity:5,3g/L; pH:3,38

Citric colored wine, subtle and delicate aroma, very complex. Fresh, structured, intense, with a very longstanding finish.

Grapes: Arinto (60%), Fernão Pires (40%).

Vinificação: Totally destemmed and fermented in new French oak barrels of extra fine grain, a 50 days long “battonage”, followed by a 6 month aging.

Quinta da Boa Esperança – Rosé Reserva

Wine made exclusively of Touriga Nacional. It’s a complex wine, rich texture with great acidity becoming fresh with a long finish.

Harvested by hand to 15 Kg cases.

Upon winery arrival the whole bunches go directly to the press, followed by fermentation in French Oak barrels second hand (500L) with battonage and aging for 9 months. Ages in bottle for 6 months.

Grapes: Touriga Nacional.

Quinta da Boa Esperança – Rosé Atlântico

A unique and textured rosé with expressive acidity, enormous freshness and a defined salinity.

Light salmon in colour with a unique density and structure. Think fish, seafood, white meat, tapas, fresh cheeses and charcuterie.

Hand-picked, grapes are carefully selected into 15kg lots. Whole bunch pressed, followed by temperature controlled fermentation at 10-12 degrees.
